Hakon is a character in my novel Sons of Disobedience. He is a Berserker and one of the leaders of the resistance against King Olaf Tryggvason's brutal politics of eradicating the Berserkers during the process of Norway's conversion to Christianity.
Random fun facts about Hakon:
He first met Yngvar Eindride on a trip to Iceland when they were about 8. They argued and fought, and Yngvar cast an axe at his head, missing him by a finger. It did chip his ear, though, and Hakon still has the scar. They became close friends after that; He is unrivalled in drinking contests. This doesn't mean that he rarely gets drunk, only that he ingests dramatic quantities of booze before he does; He is a very skilled swimmer;
He loves the ladies and the ladies love him, and he never misses a chance to boast his impressive number of conquests; He (sort of) decides to settle down at one point, narrowing down his lovers to two talented seamstresses: Eira and Brita;
He has a red-furred dog named Grivi.
